Washington Site HR Manager
Business Unit: GE Industrial, PlasticsFunction: Human ResourcesResponsibilities: Job Purpose
Responsible for all Human Resources (HR) activities for the GE Plastics, Washington, WV site, which includes the manufacturing site and technology center. Provide client support for all functions of employee-based world-class plastics manufacturing facility. Be employee advocate and business partner focused on being an employer of choice and meeting business objectives.Essential Functions
Provide overall HR responsibility for exempt and non-exempt teams including staffing, training, leadership development and coaching, career planning, performance management, compensation, salary planning, policy interpretation and development, communications, benefits, early ID program, leadership programs, cultural diversity, affirmative action, integrity policy enforcement and application, and employee satisfaction.
Lead all staffing, employee development, compliance and business leadership processes as integral member of the site leadership staff.
Implement strategic HR initiatives to create strong culture of leaders and high-performing teams.
Lead change initiatives to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development and growth for operations, technology snd commercial across the site.
Participate in GE-wide HR initiatives including leadership development and employer of choice efforts.
Responsible for community and public affairs including community donations, appearance and all media contacts.
Understand and meet business objectives. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications
BS/BA in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years experience in an HR generalist/ HRM role, including HR experience supporting manufacturing.Eligibility Requirements
