Staffing Coordinator

We are committed to responsible care in maintaining our position as the leading provider of pediatric health care services.Job Description: Responsible for ensuring that all efforts are made to appropriately staff hours ordered for each patient and to keep accurate and timely communication with staff and families.1. Schedule nurses on existing cases on a monthly basis.
2. Mail existing patient schedules to families monthly, to arrive prior to the first of each month.
3. Contact and schedule nurses for new cases in conjunction with nursing coordinators.
4. Take call for scheduling and triage.
5. Report problems with cancellations and tardiness of nurses to nursing coordinators.
6. Inform families and nursing coordinators of unstaffed shifts or schedule changes as soon as they occur. Provide frequent updates of schedule status to families and nursing coordinators.
7. Keep old schedules on file for access on past staffing patterns.
8. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date list of all active nurses.
9. Assist in the interviewing of new nurses.
10. Maintains accurate records.
11. Assist in office duties as required.
12. Assist in orienting new office staff members to scheduling.
13. Participate in IOP Plan as appropriate.
14. REQUIREMENTS
1. Good organizational skills 2. Good oral and written communication skills 3. Basic computer skills 4. Good interpersonal skills 5. Good phone skills 6. Ability to work well under tight time frames 7. High school graduate or equivalent. 8. Home health experience preferred.
