Sr. Technical Trainer - Technology Analyst

Sports Authority also operates under the Gart Sports, Sportmart and Oshmanâ??s names.MANAGEMENT & REPORTING STRUCTURE:The Sr. Technical Trainer reports directly to the Director of Learning. The SR. Technical Trainer has no direct reports.POSITION DESCRIPTION: THIS IS NOT A FACILITATOR/TRAINER POSITION - this is TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT.The Sr. Technical Trainer will be responsible for the project management of the Field, Corporate and DC Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the development and delivery of technical training courses and courseware (including online and instructor led courseware).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Project Manager for the Field, Corporate and DC LMS. This includes the management of all system functionality, maintenance, upgrades and content implementation.- Conduct system analysis to determine user functionality needs.- Oversee maintenance of system functionality and updates.- Trouble shoot user and system issues.- Communicate with vendor, in house resources (IS), and end users to ensure system upgrades and roll outs are coordinated and implemented in a timely matter.- Coordinate the implementation of course content.- Manage capital and expense expenditures.- Responsible for the Instructional Design of Technical Training programs. This includes the ability to design and develop both instructor lead and Online programs.
- Identify training objectives and development of the corresponding curriculum.- Creation of online course content.- Creation of user materials (i.e., manuals, job-aids, quick reference guides, etc.).- Conduct assessments of trainees performance through the administration of course tests.- Evaluate program/course effectiveness.- Facilitate technical training courses in a variety of technical programs. Must have aptitude for learning both the technical and business aspects of the training program.PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.- 3-5 years experience in designing, developing and delivering software and technical training programs.- Ability to work on a team required.- Retail experience preferred.- Experience with the following software required:
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adobe Suite; Macromedia Suite.
- Other online/CBT courseware authoring tools/Page Maker.

REQUIREMENTS
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.- 3-5 years experience in designing, developing and delivering software and technical training programs.- Ability to work on a team required.- Retail experience preferred.- Experience with the following software required:
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Adobe Suite; Macromedia Suite.
- Other online/CBT courseware authoring tools/Page Maker.
- LMS or similar Learning Mgmt Module experience.
