Sr. Manager HR Business Partner (Andover, MA)
Job Description
The Senior Mgr, HR Business Partner is a strategic business partner for all HR initiatives and client needs for the Philips Ultrasound group in Andover, MA and Reedsville, PA. This is accomplished primarily by working with management and human resources cohorts, including direct reports in Reedsville, to design and implement interventions and business strategies that maximize the effectiveness of Philips associates. The Senior Mgr is a strong business and systems thinker with the ability to provide solutions that get business results.
Partnering: Provides proactive consultation and input to executives, managers, supervisors and associates on issues where human resources expertise can be utilized to improve business results.
Organization and employee effectiveness: Assess needs within assigned business areas and provide consulting to managers on performance management and employee and leadership development. Facilitate annual performance management, common merit and incentive programs. Work closely with leaders to facilitate organization change initiatives as well as organization and team interventions.
Learning and Development: Implement training and development programs given assessed business needs in assigned business areas and. Create and coordinate follow-up mechanisms that support learning. Facilitate follow-up group practice sessions to reinforce learning.
Staffing/recruiting: Work closely with leaders to assess needs for talent acquisition and deployment. Consult with leaders on hiring/ redeployment, job re-design decisions.
Compensation: Implement / integrate new reward and recognition programs or changes. Provide consulting and training to managers on compensation plans and decisions. Conduct job evaluations and respond to questions and issues regarding compensation.
Management of HR: Manage and develop HR including health and safety function. Manage local HR budget.
Health and Safety/Workers Compensation: Assess the business area needs for health and safety and drive initiatives, providing direction to Health & Safety Coordinator.
Employee relations/Communication: develop employee relations and communication strategies for business area. Work closely with leaders to foster employee morale and engagement. Act as expert resource in employee relations programs including recognition, awards, and suggestions.
Compliance: Ensure compliance of all laws, employment practices and company policies.

Preferred Profile
Bachelors Degree in Business or social sciences. MS Degree in HR/OD preferred.
Minimum of 7 years HR management experience of which includes supervision of HR professional and/or administrative staff.
Demonstrated track record for helping a business unit achieve results through HR strategies
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects successfully in a changing environment.
HR experience in supply chain and manufacturing and site HR management.
Experience in training and facilitation of teams.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with senior level management.
Proven ability to work with and influence individuals at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated skill and effectiveness as a relationship builder and internal consultant.
Proven ability to effectively facilitate to large groups. *Excellent presentation skills.
Experience in change management.
