Owens Cornings emphasis on its people and its commitment to its corporate values - Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Fun, Sharing, Candor and Innovation - result in a unique employment experience.Additional information is available at http://www.owenscorning.com/career.Compensation AnalystThis position reports to the Director of Compensation and has responsibility for the planning, design, implementation, maintenance and administration of a variety of compensation programs to align the organization's people and business strategies, objectives, and competitive marketplace position.The incumbent must be a strategic business partner who will help lead the implementation of the corporate global compensation strategy that is consistent with desired business results; the overall purpose of the Company; the Human Resources strategy; and legal, cultural and employee relations requirements, best-practices and trends.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Plans, develops and implements the overall job evaluation, and wage and salary management programs for client organizations throughout the Company and across geographic regions.
Helps plan, develop and implement base and total cash compensation programs and leads focused process and program improvement initiatives.
Training and educating HR Leaders and managers on compensation strategies, objectives and programs.
Researches, analyzes, and develops modifications to compensation programs to meet identified organization objectives and needs.
Conducts or participates in wage and salary surveys, analyzes survey data and recommends changes to ensure the maintenance of the organization's compensation objectives and competitive position in the marketplace.
Ensures compliance with all legal requirements.The successful candidate will be someone who understands the organization's needs, can recommend the design of multifaceted programs, and implement them accordingly. They will also possess and apply a broad, comprehensive knowledge of compensation principles, practices, and procedures to the completion of difficult assignments. These assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. The incumbent will be expected to make judgments and take actions that may set precedents. They will also evaluate and make recommendations for major changes in organization programs.Qualifications: BS in Business Administration or Human Resources is required. An advanced degree and/or certification is a plus. Minimum 5 yrs Compensation experience with exposure to Total Compensation valuation concepts, competitive compensation practices, Pay for Performance designs and practices implementation.
