STAFF BENEFITS SPECIALIST

The University of Iowa has an opening for a Staff Benefits Specialist in the Benefits Office. Individual will assist with the administration of University benefit programs and provide expert advice and counsel to employees, retirees, and potential participants in benefits and retirement programs.

A Bachelor s degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Reasonable (1-3 years) experience in the area of insurance and employee benefit programs is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be proficient in computer software applications. Some knowledge of data systems techniques is necessary. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment is required. Experience delivering presentations in large and small group settings is desired. Some supervisory experience is desirable.

Employment is contingent upon completion of a successful credential and criminal background check. Verification of three references required.
