Develop, create, and implement safety programs for corporate and franchise restaurants. Programs should include behavorial and incentive based systems.
Work cross functionally with multiple departments to roll-out successful training programs. Position is accountable for creating on-going awareness and the reduction in the number and severity of associate & guest injuries.
2. Prioritize and direct risk controls to reduce all lines of claim experiences.
Analyze past and current losses for the purpose of prioritizing and directing safety-training requirements for corporate and franchise stores.
3. Continue to improve and maximize the performance of our TPA, Vendors and Broker as related to the reduction of associate & guest injuries/illness.
Work cross functionally with Risk Team members to develop and implement quality standards related to claims and efficiency of current programs, along with accountability of our vendors.
4. Direct, develop and implement compliance programs such as those required by OSHA, WC Commissions, WC Monopolistic State and any State-mandated programs.
Serve as a spokesperson for Applebee's International with national and local authorities on issues ranging from OSHA Complaints, CO2 request, Worker Exclusion program, Department of Labor, and local Fire Department.
5. Provide a safe workplace guidance in the design phase of AII restaurants.
The reduction of workplace injuries can be enhanced through design techniques that provide a safe & functional workplace. This includes floor systems, permanent and portable equipment, work station design, etc.
6. Design, implementation, and monitoring the Restaurant Safety Committee program.
7. Direct a functional Restaurant Support Center safety program.
Work cross functionally with the Risk Management Team to produce a safe work environment at the RSC. Programs include:

Requirements

Ideal candidate will have:Bachelors degree
5-7 years safety program and implementation experience and knowledge of claims administration.
Experience with multi-unit exposures desired
Restaurant or retail desired
