Ruxton Health at the Village


Ruxton Health at The Village is located in an area rich in both scenery and history. The facility is located in a beautiful rural setting, within thirty miles of Monticello and The University of Virginia and within one hour of Appomattox, the famous location of the surrender of the Confederate army. The facility is located between Charlottesville and Richmond and is easily accessible from Interstate 64.

Our home is a 60-bed one-level building nestled in the village of Fork Union. We have a patio that offers our residents the opportunity to relax outdoors. Our qualified staff is dedicated to providing quality health care, but go beyond that to establish a home-like atmosphere that is enhanced in our rural setting.

The well being of our residents comes first and our services are designed to accommodate their individual needs. Ruxton Health at the Village offers short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation as well as long-term nursing care, and is certified as a Medicare and Medicaid provider. The center’s twenty-four hour a day nursing care is provided by registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Residents can benefit from Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapies available five days per week, as well as from care provided by our specially trained restorative nursing aides. Residents can participate daily in planned individual and group activities. Meals are planned by a Registered Dietitian and may be eaten in our spacious dining room or residents can choose to enjoy them in the privacy of their own rooms.


Rehab Services Director


Rehab Services Director – may be PT, OTR or SLP (Physicaly Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology). This is an excellent opportunity to revitalize once dynamic department, develop programs and manage daily departmental operations as well as share responsibility for evaluations and treatment of patients.
32-40 hours/week
salary beginning at $40/hr. (negotiable based on experience and pay in lieu of benefits)

Applicants MUST be licensed either as a physical therapist, occupational therapist or speech-language pathologist
