Business Unit: GE Infrastructure, EnergyFunction: Human ResourcesResponsibilities: The Parts & Repair Services business of GE Energy has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional. As an integral member of the management team, this person will provide strategic and operational Human Resources leadership for geographically dispersed Repair Center sites throughout the Southwest/Mid-West US. Other key responsibilities include: Full range of HR generalist activities including: union relations (managing grievances, contract interpretation and local negotiations), proactive employee relations, performance management, organization development, management coaching, recruiting and staffing, compensation, legal compliance, and HR process coordination (Session C, salary planning, etc.) for ~400 salaried and hourly employees across multiple locations in Southwest US.
Provide strong focus on identification, selection, & retention of world-class talent.
Maximize organizational effectiveness and support Human Resources initiatives.
Drive new and innovative HR practices to create a strong culture of growth leaders and high performing teams
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * 4-year College or University degree in Human Resources or Industriral Relations.
Minimum of 5 years progressive HR Generalist experience, including Union Relations, Recruiting and Organization Effectiveness.
Solid understanding of US Labor Law.
Experience acting as business partner to understand needs and creatively work with management to grow business results.Desired: * Masters Degree in HR/Industrial Relations or MBA
Six Sigma certified (GE employees only).
Global HR experience/exposure.
HRLP Graduate.
Willing to travel (approximately 40%).
Demonstrated coaching/mentoring/relationship building/leadership skills.
Strong business acumen, analytical and project management skills.
Positive, proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Change agent; results orientation; high energy.
Able to manage multiple, competing priorities across geography.
