Recruitment Specialist - Temporary Part Time

Catapult Online is an approved Supplemental Education Services (SES) provider of After-School tutoring. As a member of the team, the Recruitment Specialist’s role is to work in the Chicago school district to help identify and register eligible students in the Catapult Online program. Ideally, the Recruitment Specialist is an active member of the school community and is responsible for promoting the Catapult Online after-school program to parents at school and community events. Events may include but are not limited to giving parent presentations, and manning publicity booths at school and community functions.
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for driving enrollment in the Catapult Online SES After-School tutoring program. Specifically, the Recruitment Specialist will register students into the Catapult Online After-School tutoring program at school Open Houses and Vendor Fairs. The events are usually 2 hours in length and are held Monday thru Friday between the hours of 3:30 – 7:30 pm. In addition, the specialist will help:
Establish effective relationships with internal and external constituents that include: students, parents, teachers, school administrators and community leaders.
Familiarize students, parents and school administrators to the registration process.
Facilitate the enrollment of students to ensure strong student participation in the program.
Assist in the sign-up, enrollment, and conversion process for eligible students.
Enforce and adhere to compliance rules and regulations when publicizing the program and enrolling students.
Deliver program literature.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should possess:
Some college preferred, but not required.
Experience with community outreach and mobilization, grass-roots organizing or political campaigning strongly preferred.
Knowledge of local communities where targeted students/families live and work.
Passion for providing at-risk students to innovative alternatives to education.
Ability to effectively articulate the Catapult Online program to school administration.
Must have excellent oral communication skills, previous experience giving presentations and/or public speaking preferred.
Previous sales or campaign experience is a plus
Self-motivated go-getter. Ability to work independently. Punctual and responsible. Must have reliable transportation.
