AMC currently has a full-time opening for a QRM Specialist. Under the direction of the VP of Medical Administration, performs concurrent record review for rehabilitative patient populations, specifically Crossroads, Behavioral Health and Acute Inpatient Rehab patients which includes review for quality, utilization and risk indicators. Prepares monthly reports of medical staff peer review and performance measurement activities. Coordinates meeting planning and preparation with assigned medical staff department/ and or committee chairman. Collates physician-specific QRM data for credentials review. Serves as resource person to nursing, especially attending nurse, case manager and team leader, ancillary departments, and medical staff on issues related to the rehab units. Stays up to date with Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, JCAHO and other accrediting and/or regulatory agency standards. Must be Registered Nurse with at least 5 years medical/surgical nursing experience. Experience in Behavioral Health nursing desirable. Must also be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as WORD and EXCEL. Knowledge of PI and statistical methodologies preferred.
