Amcor PET Packaging, a worldwide leader in the Plastics Industry, is searching for a Human Resources Manager for their Fairfield, California location.


In this position, you will serve as an employee advocate and strategic partner with the local management team, while planning, organizing and directing the administration of all HR policies, procedures and programs regarding recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll, training and development, EEO, health and safety, and employee relations necessary to carry out Company and Plant objectives. You will also provide guidance to the Plant Manager, functional managers and supervisors in the interpretation and application of established HR policies to create a climate of trust and open and direct communication; ensure full compliance with all relevant federal and state laws and governmental regulations; and provide support for and act as a communication vehicle for ISO and other quality initiatives.


To qualify, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent, and 3-5 years' of generalist experience in a manufacturing facility. You must also be well versed in EEO, ADA, FMLA, Worker's Compensation, and all other local, state, federal and governmental laws and regulations; be knowledgeable of safety and health practices; and have experience with HRIS, Ceridian preferred. The successful candidate must also possess a high degree of initiative, flexible with work schedule, and be able to work with little or no supervision. PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
