Part-Time Human Resources Representative

Olympic Steel, a national steel service center, has an immediate part-time opening (approx. 24 hours / week) for a HR Generalist in Schaumburg, Illinois (a northwest suburb of Chicago). This position is responsible for the administration of various human resources policies & procedures, as well as coordinating payroll for the division. The HR Representative serves as a consultant to the Managers on HR related matters, and executes plans / programs as needed. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recruiting, selection, benefits administration, employee relations & communications, workers' compensation, community events, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years related work experience, an undergraduate degree in a related field, strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures & employment laws. PHR certification and bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel and excellent communication skills are also required.
