May be responsible for the development and administration of corporate HR programs and employee relations activities. Develops and revises policies and procedures, employee handbook and assures that the general Company HR activities are in compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.Essential Job Functions include:
Assures that Company's standards of performance and productivity are communicated to all employees; assures that policies and procedures are administered and interpreted in a fair and consistent manner; adheres to personal performance and productivity standards established by HR management. Monitors Company operations and HR activities; conducts employee interviews and meetings to evaluate current work environment, and address questions and issues; investigates employee complaints and facilitates resolution; counsels employees in accordance with company philosophy and objectives. Recognizes, analyzes and diagnoses key trends in turnover, hiring, promotions, separations and formal complaints to uncover root cause. Develops and designs solutions, based on root cause analysis work, to effect process improvement change. Communicates, monitors and suggests modifications to manage and assess overall effectiveness. Lead and/or participate in process improvement teams that support the Human Resources function. Effectively work with business partners, HR staff and SME's to identify opportunities to maximize business performance. Identifies needs, analyzes data, develops recommendations, and implements plans and projects that maximize employee performance and drives business effectivene Assures HR policies, procedures, employee handbook, and reporting are in compliance with state and federal laws; develops, recommends and implements human resources policies to meet organizational needs. Participates in development, supports and administers a variety of HR programs such as retention, termination, new hire orientation, salary administration, performance management, succession planning, training and Affirmative Action Plans for all sites; and manages communications of ER programs to Company management and personnel. May investigate, and prepare and respond to legal and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) charges; responds to and resolves problematic issues, striving for a "win/win" solution, while assuring compliance with relevant laws and Company policies and procedures. Leads and takes responsibility for the development of Affirmative Action Plans for all sites. Ensures the results of the plans are communicated, management education occurs and minority and female under-representation is incorporated into recruiting efforts. Responsible for associated government reports. May participate in and approve the interviewing, hiring, and training of departmental employees. Provides coaching and assistance in the areas of disciplinary action, problem resolution and work assignment delegation. Performs related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Five (5) to seven (7) years of human resources experience, two (2) of which must be in a supervisory capacity preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of:
Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources. Principles and practices of employee relations, supervision, safety, worker's compensation, Affirmative Action, personnel administration and training. Business, personal computer hardware and software and Human Resources Information System applications. Broad knowledge of Human Resources principles practices and processes. Current Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.Skill in:
Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective management of allocated resources. Analyzing, interpreting and applying Company policies and procedures, and Federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to employment and employee relations. Recruiting, interviewing and selecting applicants in accordance with established employment practices and methods. Supervising, coordinating, delegating assignments and reviewing the work of assigned department personnel. Negotiation, counseling and conflict management; must be able to facilitate communications, and influence without authority; must be able to manage a changing environment. Monitoring and assuring the confidentiality and proper maintenance of human resources information and reports.
