Manager, Employee Data Services (EDS)

Purpose: To manage the employees responsible for entering information about company employees’ work history with Accor-NA, including but not limited to hire, termination, changes to pay, job, personal identification, etc. into the company’s human resource information system (HRIS). May also oversee staff assigned to manage the system processing component of employee benefits.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Establishes and/or modifies processes for inputting employee information submitted by authorized management. Maintains appropriate audit controls for monitoring productivity and data accuracy levels as well as system performance. Establishes deadlines and turnaround schedules, and makes staff work assignments.
2. Maintains current, thorough knowledge of the HRIS, including data entry, payroll and benefit provider interfaces, benefits processing module, query processes and data retrieval. Collaborates with HRIS support team to identify most efficient system applications and procedures to meeting business needs.
3. Assists with functional processing of benefits-related transactions in BenAdmin module of PeopleSoft. Provides system testing assistance and may troubleshoot Event Maintenance, Open Enrollment, and/or benefit plan setups.
4. Verifies system output against audit controls and business requirements; initiates individual and group performance objectives to meet goals.
5. Interprets organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance; maintains current knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines, and communicates changes or updates to staff.
6. Coaches staff on efficient use of the system, implementing standardized processes and practices; ensures staff is trained to accurately interpret system error messages and warnings. Participates in system analysis, updates, special projects, and/or requirements and specifications documentation. May develop recommendations for hardware and/or software to improve department efficiency.
7. Investigates system processing errors to determine root cause; implements new or modified procedures to eliminate recurring errors or problems.
8. Establishes customer service standards and ensures staff is providing information and feedback as needed to employees and management.
9. Uses system-delivered reports as appropriate, and may prepare ad hoc reports for authorized users; consults with data users to identify information needs and most practical method of production and distribution.
10. Handles routine staffing functions, including hiring interviews and recommendations, performance counseling and documentations, terminations as necessary.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Scope: Position manages staff of 3-6 intermediate-level clerical and support personnel. Manages a budget of approximately $250,000.
