IT Analyst/Peoplesoft Developer- Human Resources I/T

Cargill's Corporate Human Resources I/T Department has an immediate opening for a developer to support Cargill's North American PeopleSoft HRMS Application.



Principal Accountabilities:

35% Application Development:Utilize vendor supplied and industry standards technologies to develop and enhance business applications per business requirements. Must be able to interpret functional requirements and complete technical design. Solutions must be cost effective and technically efficient.

40% Application Support: Provide application support for existing HRMS applications, including:Break/fix analysis and programming. Batch job scheduling and monitoring. Application of software maintenance. Application of patches and upgrades. Communicating effectively with business peers, IT peers, and suppliers to participate in the solution of technology problems. Make decisions regarding operational and application corrections. Provide recommendations regarding procedures and deadlines.

10% Provide quality assurance for new and existing applications.



10% Maintain project timekeeping and technical documentation per standards.



5% Work with the team to improve work processes and identify cost savings opportunities.
REQUIREMENTS


Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.

3+ years PeopleSoft development/support experience in at least two of the following areas:

Payroll

Benefits Administration

Manager/Employee Self-Service

ELearning

3+ years experience using the following tools:

SQL

SQR

People Tools

Application Engine

Previous experience applying PeopleSoft upgrades and patches.

Must be willing to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation as required.

Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently.

Excellent organizational skills with proven, dependable follow-through.



Desired Skills:

1+ years developing inbound and outbound trading partner interfaces.

1+ years experience using automated batch job scheduling utilities

1+ years experience with PeopleSoft Integration Tools (Integration Broker, Component Interface)

1+ years Oracle experience

1+ years Microsoft Visio experience

1+ years experience using PeopleSoft version 8.8 or higher.

General knowledge of formal change control processes, i.e. viaTIL.
