Description:
Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, this position will build trusted advisor relationships with all levels of management across assigned client groups to coach/counsel management on interpreting employment law, resolving employee relations issues and the development and retention of employees while focusing on more complex HR issues. Manages the delivery and improvement of HR services (i.e. training, performance mgmt, recruiting, compensation, career development) to help client groups effectively leverage their human capital. Partners with client groups to have a greater understanding of department operations to better assist with strategic direction as well as maintaining a higher level of overall company knowledge. Maintains current knowledge of supported client groups’ objectives, organization and key business challenges. Performs general research and analysis to identify best practices, industry trends and state and federal laws. Participates in overall HR strategic planning process. Client groups include, but not limited to, North America Finance & Accounting, and Game Design.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of four years of demonstrated progressive responsibility, six years experience preferred with two to three years in a manager’s role. Advanced knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations; strong analytical and decision making skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and employees; excellent verbal and written communication skills; and, effective problem solving ability. Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Applications (Work, Outlook, etc). Must be capable of setting priorities, have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be detail oriented. PHR/SPHR certification desired. Must be willing to work overtime and travel as required. This position will be located in Reno.
