The Minneapolis office is looking for a manager to provide Human Resources support for service lines within the Minneapolis Tax function. This position assists in developing and then implements and maintains a full range of HR initiatives in support of the firm's HR Standards and local business objectives - with specific focus on the retention and development of talented professionals. Works closely with Minneapolis Tax Leadership, Minneapolis HR Office Leader, Regional HR Leader, and various other HR/Resource Management professionals. Will also support various cross-functional Minneapolis focused HR initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Orientation and Assimilation
-assist in the development and enhancement of existing orientation programs for new Tax employees to ensure proper assimilation into the organization. Participate in presenting orientation sessions to new employees.
Employee relations
- assist Tax Leadership and personnel with immigration, flexible work arrangements, transfers, GDP/MDP assignments, leaves of absence, exit interviews, out processing, WIN and diversity initiatives and compliance with organizational policies and protocols.
Performance management
- monitor and manage completion of GPS performance evaluations, goal setting, counseling assignments, mentoring and career development activities.
Compensation/Promotion
- working with practice leaders and regional Tax HR to conduct annual compensation/promotion process.
Rewards and Recognition
- facilitate the employee reward and recognition program and process approved nominations.
Forecasting and Business planning
- monitor activity
involving new hires, separations, transfers, leaves of absences, etc. Prepare periodic reports summarizing this activity for Tax managing partners, HR leaders and controllers.
Event planning
- assist in planning and staging activities such as end of busy season parties, golf outings, summer events, locally-delivered training and periodic level meetings.
Cross-functional/Regional
- responsible for assisting with a variety of cross-functional activities for the Minneapolis office and Regional Tax initiatives.Worked in the HR function for 4+ years and have experience handling HR processes
Four year degree or equivalent
Must have experience in employee relations
Must possess strong communication and customer service skills
Must be able to deal effectively with all levels of internal professionals
Ability to work in a confidential environment essential
Excellent organization skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum direction.
Strong time
management skills
Knowledge of employment law a plus
