JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Organization Effectiveness Consultant provides comprehensive HR support to a client group. Actively participates in departmental strategic planning activities to meet business objectives. Consults with client management to assess staffing, training and development needs, organizational effectiveness needs; defines recruitment strategy, consults on employee relations issues/EEO/AA compliance, recommends solutions to compensation and performance management issues, and assists in developing/interpreting and applying HR policies to help Associates move through organizational redesign and change.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Counsels all levels of management and associates regarding performance issuesRecommends courses of action conforming to HR policies in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulationsFacilitates performance management/coaching discussions as requested by management. Reviews performance improvement plans and corrective action plans Investigates associate complaints regarding HR policies and practices and allegations violating policies. Recommends appropriate courses of action to managementConsults with Compensation COE to develop, administer and communicate compensation plans, annual performance reviews, merit increases and stock option programsPartners with management, and identifies and recommends cost-effective solutions to staffing needsPromotes a positive associate relations work environment in partnership with client managers and ensures open and timely supervisor/associate communications and interventionsAssists in designing and implementing HR policies/guidelines and programs and communicates changes to managers. Provide policy interpretation and conflict resolutions to all Associates in accordance with relevant employment lawsAssists in assessing departmental training and development needs and delivers training to enhance associates’ skills and improve workplace satisfactionMeets with management to assess and discuss business climate. Provides reports to use in the business planning processResponds with Legal or Diversity COE to associates’ claims/charges files with Government agenciesDirects and documents investigations into alleged violations in conjunction with Diversity COL. Serves as liaison with management and may report on findings to investigations. Participates in audits by compliance agencies
REQUIREMENTS


REQUIREMENTS:

 

Education and Experience:
8 years experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or Organization Development (with generalist experience), project management, consulting to a client base, conducting investigations, and training.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to collaborate with and provide consultative services to all levels in the organizationStrong oral, written, presentation, & interpersonal skills requiredStrong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to identify and resolve issues at the organizational levelWorking knowledge of PC based software programsKnowledge of compliance requirements, relevant laws and HR policies and procedures
