EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER – United Rotary Brush

United Rotary Brush (URB) has more than 80 years of rotary broom design and manufacturing experience and has earned a reputation for Integrity, Innovation, and Quality unmatched in the industry. URB sets the standards for craftsmanship, performance, and service other manufacturers strive to follow. URB is a $40 million privately-held company that has grown to 165 employees in four locations. We are currently seeking an Employee Relations Manager responsible for performing the following duties:

Job Responsibilities:

1. Direct the work of the HR team, establish goals, and evaluate progress.
2. Provide a Human Resources staff of three capable of meeting the goals and objectives of the Human Resource Department.
3. Coach managers/employees through employee relations’ matters keeping a win-win outcome in mind. Serve as a consultant/neutral third party to assist in resolving interpersonal communication conflicts.
4. Assist in development, revision and administration of policies and procedures.
5. Maintain compliance with all local, state, federal, and provincial requirements affecting employment practices and procedures.
6. Coordinate the annual performance evaluation and merit increase process.
7. Develop and maintain effective employee benefit, compensation and payroll programs including arrangement for proper providers/vendors to assure the company remains a competitive employer. Assures all facets of programs are handled.
8. Develop and analyze key HR metrics to measure department performance and initiatives.
9. Maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality.
10. Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with URB’s foundation values, philosophies, and leadership characteristics.
11. Work with other departments to ensure the HR department workflow and/or processes are providing the best service.
12. Assists other HR team members and the Director of HR with HR issues and projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

BA or BS degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution is desired.
Five or more years of Human Resources generalist experience plus three years of management experience may substitute for a degree. SPHR/PHR certification is preferred. Bilingual is a plus. This position requires 15% travel. Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000.
