Job Description:

Don Davis Auto Group is looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrative Assistant in our corporate accounting offices located in north Arlington. This is a high volume, demanding position. We're looking for individuals who work smart, communicate clearly and are eager to learn new skills.

Job responsibilities:

Process applicant background information per established procedures
Collect and record information daily such as the results of pre-employment drug screens, criminal backgrounds, and motor vehicle driving records
Interview applicants and arrange interviews with department manager as needed
Conduct daily orientations with new employees
Instruct new employees on electronic timekeeping and computer log-on procedures
Issue and review employee handbook to new employees
Record, file and maintain I-9 forms
Maintain the name and time clock files
Obtain signatures from new employees on all new-hire personnel forms
Assign employee numbers and set up each person in the payroll computer
Assist with payroll by posting timesheets, posting hours and wages
Issue child support checks
Assist employees and guests who have questions or problems
Assist with orientations, training classes, and special enrollments as needed
Prepare and mail Birthday and Anniversary cards monthly
Compile, post and submit reports such as State New Hire Reports, accrual reports, and EOM Accounting entries
Assist others in HR with unemployment claims
Verify employment to outside companies

REQUIREMENTS
This position requires at least three years experience in high volume operations. General knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll administration is a necessity in this position. Additionally, we require superior computer skills. Formal education and previous job experience are taken into consideration for all positions.
