Human Resource Specialist

Responsible for providing clerical/administrative support for the human resource functions including recruiting and staffing, personnel records, employee or labor relations, compensation, benefits, training and/or equal opportunity/affirmative action. Maintains and enters information to employee files and personnel records, processes change of status forms, compiles personnel statistics and provides information to employees on matters pertaining to personnel forma and records. Prepares HR reports as needed. Other duties as assigned.HR Specialist III, N15 - Typically requires a High School diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline. Proficient knowledge of departmental functions, recruiting and/or human resources, pc's and customer service skills.Must have excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Requires the ability to multi-task.
Must have very good math skills and be very detail oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential and must be assertive as there is a lot of interaction with employees and managers.
