Human Resource Specialist

Responsible for providing clerical/administrative support for the human resource functions including recruiting and staffing, personnel records, employee or labor relations, compensation, benefits, training and/or equal opportunity/affirmative action. Maintains and enters information to employee files and personnel records, processes change of status forms, compiles personnel statistics and provides information to employees on matters pertaining to personnel forma and records. Prepares HR reports as needed. Other duties as assigned.HR Specialist I, N13 - Typically requires High School diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years related experience. Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Basic knowledge of departmental functions, recruiting and/or human resources, pc's and customer service skills.HR Specialist II, N14 - Typically requires a High School diploma or Equivalent and 1+ years of directly related experience. Full use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques. Working knowledge of departmental functions, recruiting and/or human resources, pc's and customer service skillsHR Specialist III, N15 - Typically requires a High School diploma or Equivalent and 2+ years of directly related experience. Broad application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline. Proficient knowledge of departmental functions, recruiting and/or human resources, pc's and customer service skills.HR Specialist IV, N16 - Typically requires a High School diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of directly related experience. College degree preferred. Contributes to the development of new theories and methods. Advanced knowledge of departmental functions, recruiting and/or human resources, pc's and customer service skills.HR Specialist V, N17 - Typically requires a High School diploma or Equivalent and 6+ years of directly related experience. College degree preferred. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
