Human Resource / Safety Manager

Mid-America Door is seeking a Human Resource / Safety Manager reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer for 180 plant employees in a 24/7 operation. Mid-America Door is a residential and commercial steel garage door manufacturer (www.midamericadoor.com) in Ponca City, OK. Our products are sold throughout 25 states to garage door installers and wholesalers.

This position is hands-on overseeing all internal policies related to State and Federal Regulations, OSHA safety, DOT, EEOC, FLMA and benefits for 200+ employees. Must be an effective communicator, hand-on, independent thinker, plus have demonstrated an ability to work with all levels of personnel and management in a plant environment. This person will be involved in recruiting and retention, safety, training and education, policy establishment, and setting growth objectives in motion that will support the internal identification and advancement of its workforce.
Ponca City, Ok is located within easy driving distance of Wichita, KS, Tulsa, OK, and Oklahoma City, OK with a workforce population of 100,000+ and conveniently located close to Big 12 sport action, lakes, and recreation facilities (www.Goponca.com).
