Human Resource Manager

Holcim (US) has an immediate opening, due to a recent promotion, for a dynamic, results-oriented, experienced Human Resource Manager to be located at its plant in Midlothian, TX.
This Human Resource Manager, with a drive for the highest standards of ethical behavior, will:
•Manage the development and implementation of all plant HR activities, with an emphasis on succession planning, workforce planning, employee development, learning, employee involvement, team development, employee/labor relations, recruiting/staffing, benefits/compensation, immigration activities, relocation, affirmative action and EEO
•As a strategic business partner/member of the management team, create, lead, and promote initiatives which support the plant, specified geographic area of responsibility, and Corporate HR business plans in order to achieve Holcim´s business strategy
•Assist in performance management and leadership development
•Counsel and coach plant staff, supervisors, and managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and problem solving
•Coach and facilitate an understanding of the strategic benefits of employee development
•Coach and facilitate an understanding of the strategic benefits of diversity
•Assist other facilities in the specified geographic area with HR activities
•Provide guidance regarding employment-related law and regulations, including NLRA, EEO/AA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and FLSA
•Facilitate a positive work environment which sustains Holcim-represented status
•Facilitate a continuous improvement environment in all areas
•Supervise Human Resources Assistant(s) and training resources
•Coordinate internal communications throughout the plant by organizing employee meetings, periodic newsletters and other types of focused employee programs and activities
•Support the plant safety and industrial hygiene program including training and MSHA relations
•Travel as required for meetings and training
•Serve on corporate HR Council
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in Human Resource; advanced degree a preferred and minimum of five (5) year's human resources experience in a multi-faceted generalist role in a manufacturing or corporate environment. Candidate should have proven leadership abilities and excellent communication, negotiation and planning skills, along with a solid working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This critical team member will have demonstrated leadership abilities with an orientation toward a high involvement environment with ability to facilitate win-win solutions with all levels of staff, is results oriented with the ability to think strategically, skilled at organizational development and managing change and able to facilitate a positive work environment. The ability to effectively listen, coach, and lead others toward improved performance is also required.
