Human Resource Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Human Resources oversees all aspects of human resources, human resource planning, benefits administration, recruitment, compensation and organizational culture. Performs as part of the hospital senior team to provide optimum services to long-term acute and rehabilitation patients, ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric, who are experiencing medically complex conditions, general medical surgical conditions, physical/pulmonary rehabilitation and wound care needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§Human Resource Planning skills
§Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
§Ability to project a professional Image Prior leadership role required
§Strong organizational and analytical skills.
§Prior experience as a Human Resource Generalist. To include work in compensation, benefits, staffing and employee relations.
§Ability to understand the hospital’s annual business plans and determine the HR implications resulting in annual HR initiatives.
§Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (PeopleSoft, Word processing, databases, spreadsheets, etc.)
§Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
§Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
§Freedom from use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Experience in a health care setting preferred. Five (5) years related experience. Prior work as an HR Generalist.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
PHR or SHPR certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Also the ability to create and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form. Ability to define and solve problems, collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Solid critical thinking skills required.
