Human Resource Business Partner

JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Human Resource Manager - Business Partner (HRBP) is to increase the effectiveness of the organization by maximizing the contribution of our associates. The HRBP role provides integrated support to a department(s), is a member of the client department’s management team, may be located within the department and focuses on delivery of human resource services and business results.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.Associate Development: - Support corporate and departmental skill and career development activities; facilitate corporate and departmental programs; tailor new programs to customer needs as required. Advise leaders on the most effective use and development of their people. Assist with the associate development function for client decisions.
2.Staffing: - Lead the staffing function for client departments. Assist in the development of departmental staffing projections and annual plans, in line with SG&A targets. Participate in departmental reviews of SG&A results and help manage towards targets. Manage plans and processes for turnover tracking, needs assessment, staffing, recruiting, selection, and succession planning. Conduct recruiting and interviews as required. Facilitate hiring decisions.
3.Associate Relations: - Consult leaders on performance issues, legal issues, or other significant actions that affect associates and the organization. Manage processes for performance improvement, terminations, harassment investigations, Fair & Equitable treatment, and other sensitive issues. Conduct formal and informal sensing of the environment.
4.Compensation: - Manage administrative compensation processes, including job factoring and internal/external equity.
5.Quality: - Lead client departments’ integration of quality processes into their work. Ensure client departments measure productivity and effectiveness.
6.Union Free: - Lead union-free training, risk and readiness assessment, and contingency planning in client department.
7.Organizational Design: - Assist with organizational design process in client departments. Develop an understanding of client departments’ work processes.
8.Travel: - Overnight travel approximately 0-25% of time; varies with client departments.Job Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:1.Minimum of a BA/BS degree.
2.Three to five years human resource management experience.
3.Required skills: leadership, implementation, interpersonal, planning and organizing, facilitation, and problem analysis. Superior judgment and discretion is essential.
