The health and welfare lead analyst administers health and welfare plans to ensure benefit plan compliance. The health and welfare lead analyst conducts research to ensure compliance and makes recommendations to enhance processes and programs. Responsibilities also include supervising human resources helpline benefits administrators. Direct Reports

Vice president, human resourcesPrimary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):
Administer health and welfare plans and processes including annual re-enrollment.Supervise the human resources helpline operations related to employee inquiries and requests; investigate and respond to complicated employee issues and problems.Develop updates to plan documents and summary plan descriptions and facilitate amendments necessary to make changes.Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning.Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Maintain the professional competence, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively complete responsibilities; enhance job knowledge and abilities by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training.Perform responsibilities as directed within determined time frames and with a high degree of accuracy.Establish and maintain effective work relationships within internal and external contacts.Coordinate and organize multiple tasks to meet targeted time frames.Maintain sensitive and confidential information regarding company information.Provide accurate input into the budget process and contribute to meeting the actual targets.Attend work on a regular basis and support the company’s employee policies and procedures, including workplace safety rules.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, human resource management, a related field or equivalent related work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree.)Four years of related experience in a human resources role, including one year in a senior technical/leadership role.Knowledge of benefit plan processing and related compliance requirements.Effective oral and written communication skills.Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.~hj~ Position descriptions are developed as guides for the employees of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company.
