Responsibilities:
Currently, Walgreens seeks an experienced Human Resource Generalist for our Distribution Center in Berkeley, Illinois. This challenging position will require the generalist to assume HR tasks as well as learn the basics of distribution operations management. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, as rotation with 2nd and 3rd shifts will be needed.
As HR Generalist, you would provide general human resource support for all areas of the distribution center, including employment, community relations, employee relations, training and development, attendance, payroll, HRIS, benefits, workers compensation, safety, performance, discipline, communications.
Proven experience in employee relations, benefits, policy and procedure, training design and delivery, are required. Knowledge of distribution/logistics or industrial/manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws is essential. PC skills (all MS Office programs and File Maker Pro) and knowledge of Statistical Process Control principles a plus. Qualifications Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and/or a HR Certification, plus a minimum of three years of HR generalist experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
