Under minimal supervision, acts as a consultant to management in developing, implementing and coordinating policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, and personnel research. Participates in policy development and participates in cross-divisional HR teams. Communicates HR related programs to managers and employees. Provides training to other HR Generalists and may have supervisory responsibility. Handles special projects, as assigned. Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of human resource field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be a team player. Assist managers/employees with compensation and benefit issues; provide annual enrollment training as necessary. Work with managers/supervisors in training needs analysis and offer solutions; coordinating efforts with the Centrilift HR & Learning/ Employee Development team. Serve as the focal point for employee relations issues and resolutions. Participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional HR teams and provide feedback on decisions / outcomes. Provide collaborative support within the Centrilift HR organization. Partners with departmental managers & organizational staffing/ recruiting experts to ensure functional requirements are met regarding new and replacement staffing requirements. REQUIREMENTS
Centrilift, a division of Baker Hughes Inc. (BHI), has an opening for a HR Generalist in Houston, TX, USA. This position will be responsible for providing generalist HR support for the North America Operations organization employees. Primary focus is to ensure HR related customer requirements are met: Working with Managers/Supervisors to understand current needs and future needs. Activities may include: coordination of recruitment activities, prescreening of applicants, coordination of employee developmental activities and networking with other BHI divisions. The successful candidate will also be asked to establish/ maintain relationships with staffing agencies, universities and other professional organizations, ensuring background check requirements are met, reporting, etc. PLEASE NOTE: RELOCATION ALLOWANCE may be considered for exceptional candidate, and is open only to those currently eligible to work in the United States. Strong computer skills including solid knowledge of MS Office software packages and/or company-specific databases. Thorough knowledge of practices and procedures of the department and company. Excellent communication and analytical skills. Must be able to work well with stringent deadlines and possess good organizational skills. Commitment to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment. Self-motivated.
