This position provides an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who has a desire to progress into higher positions to join Alcoa, a values-based company that offers advancement opportunities. This opening is with Alcoa’s Engineered Products business at our Chandler, Arizona site. Pimalco is part of the AEP Hard Alloy Division and manufactures extruded shapes, cast and scalped forged ingot, extruded rod, seamless tubing, drawn seamless tubing, and automotive driveshaft product.We are looking for a candidate who has already demonstrated the ability to achieve results in several key HR functions and has a passion to put that experience to work and have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibilities. We will look to you to partner with the HR Manager and the leadership team in translating business strategy into HR action that drives business results for this 420 employee location.Your Generalist responsibilities will require you to apply your knowledge of HR and hands-on expertise with demonstrated results in several of the following functions/HR processes:This position is responsible for coordinating all facets of human resources functions including:
Oversee all recruiting processes including hiring, screening, interviewing, orientation, and maintenance of employment related data.

Collect and assist with location payroll.

Assist employees with company policies, procedures, benefits, etc.

Coordinate employee functions.

Maintain applicable files for federal, local, and state regulations.

Maintain employee records in HRIS (Peoplesoft).

Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and company values, policies and procedures such as EEO/AAP, FLSA, FMLA, ASAT and SOX

A key part of this role is to help us streamline tactical HR processes to allow more time to be spent on Strategic HR issues.Job Requirements
Minimum Education Required: BachelorsMinimum Years of Experience: 3Minimum Travel Required: NoneBasic Qualifications: Successful candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor/Employee Relations, Business, Organizational Development or a related field of study.Candidates should have 3 or more years of well rounded Human Resources Generalist experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Preferred Qualifications: Position Requirements:Ideal candidates will also possess many of the following characteristics/skills:

Qualified candidates will be ready to be an HR Manager in 3-5 years and will be open to considering relocation at that time.Position could be a higher job grade for the exceptionally qualified candidate.
