HR Associate - Generalist in Training

We are seeking a Human Resource Associate/HR Generalist in Training

Basic Function:

Applicant must excellent verbal and written communication skills, great attention to detail, ability to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment while being adaptable and must posses a strong work ethic and be dependable.

Principal Accountabilities:

This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will provide a wide range of support and administrative functions to include but not limited to: recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, verifications of employment, background checks, maintaining employee personnel files and employee data in HRIS system, participating in new hire orientation/processing, billing review and processing, etc.

Assist Director with special projects as needed. Provide support and assist in research with regards to policy, procedures, evaluation, and Best Practices.

Principal Interactions:

This position will interact with all Frost Valley YMCA staff, potential candidates, insurance carrier representatives, vendors, third party verifications, and many general inquiries.

Must understand the confidentiality of this position and all actions and decisions must parallel Frost Valley YMCA’s operating objectives, mission and core values.

Attend trainings and participate in networking events with YMCA and HR related organizations.

REQUIREMENTS
Required:

Associate Degree or equivalent work experience in HR, Business or service related field. Bachelors Degree or prior knowledge of HR, Employee Relations, and Employment Law preferred. Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Designations a plus!
