REQUIREMENTS
Accounting
Our accounting department offers various positions that ensure accurate store accounting, including accounts payable and general ledger data entry as well as cash control procedures. Must have experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or invoice matching. Must be able to comprehend and complete financial reports, perform math operations sufficient to manage receipts and balance sales and cash reports and be able to use or learn computer software including Excel.Administration
There are various administrative positions in each store, many of which require previous experience. Some of these positions are: PBS (Payroll & Benefits Specialist), Evening Supervisors, SSI (Store Systems Integrator), Admin. Team Leader, and Physical Plant Supervisor.Bakery
The Bakery department encompasses all the baked products traditionally associated with a bakery, such as breads, cakes, tarts, cookies, bars and brownies, scones, pastries, muffins, pound cakes, and corn bread. These products are produced in the store, and delivered to the stores from our Bakehouse, Commissary and various vendors. Bakery Team Members provide courteous, friendly and efficient customer service. General responsibilities include receiving and preparing product, maintaining the bakery area, weighing, pricing and packaging customer selections, assisting with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing. At times, you may be exposed to extreme temperatures such as ovens, freezers, and coolers.Customer Service
Our Customer Service Team Members provide friendly, efficient customer service, supporting the Team Leader in maintaining regional standards. General responsibilities include identifying and ringing up all products correctly, collecting payment, ensuring groceries are properly bagged, counting money at the beginning and end of each shift, and cleaning register and belts throughout shift as necessary. This position requires standing and walking for up to four hours without a break as well as bending and lifting up to 40 pounds.Floral
Floral Team Members receive, unload and put away product delivery; prepare flowers, plants and other products for display and sale; ensures a fresh and appealing case by designed creative arrangements, rotating products and removing old and damaged products; maintain correct department signage and pricing; arrange and design floral items; operate and sanitize all Floral equipment in a safe and proper manner. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors); and demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, and all related equipment.Grocery
Grocery Team Members receive, unload and put away product delivery; prepares products for the floor displays and grocery cases; maintains correct department signage and pricing; ensures freshness of products by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products; answers customer questions; assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors); and demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, and all related equipment.Meat
Meat Team Members cut and prepare meat for the floor displays and meat cases; operate and sanitize all meat equipment in a safe and proper manner; receive, unloads and puts away product delivery; maintains correct department signage and pricing; weighs, prices and packages customer selections; follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors).Prepared Foods
Our Prepared Foods department has many positions suited to various skill levels. Some of the team member positions are: salad bar, deli counter, pizza, and dishwasher. General Prepared Foods Team Members are responsible for receiving and preparing product, maintaining the product case, selling the product, ensuring proper signage, pricing, and a fresh and appealing display case. These positions require standing for extended periods of time, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds, operating meat slicers, using knives, and being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, ovens).Produce
Produce Team Members receive, unload and put away product delivery; prepares produce for the floor displays and produce cases; maintains correct department signage and pricing; ensures freshness of products by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products; answers customer questions; assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors); and demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, and all related equipment.Seafood
Seafood Team Members cut and prepare Seafood products for floor displays and seafood cases; ensures freshness of products by checking codes, rotating products, and removing damaged or out-of-date products; answers customer questions; assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing; receives, unloads, and puts away product delivery; weighs, prices and packages customer selections; follows and complies with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adheres to safe work practices. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors); and demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, and all related equipment.Specialty
Some of the products offered in our Specialty Department include, cheese, olives, chocolate, and coffee. Specialty Team Members receive, unload and put away product delivery; prepare products for the floor displays and cases; maintains correct department signage and pricing; ensures freshness of products by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products; answers customer questions; assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing. These positions require bending and lifting loads up to 65 pounds, pushing and pulling carts up to 100 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, being exposed to extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, outdoors); and demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a dumpster, baler, forklift, box cutters, and all related equipment.Whole Body
Some of the products offered in our Whole Body Department include, vitamins and minerals, body, hair and facial products, and natural therapies including homeopathy and aromatherapy. Whole Body team members receive, unload and put away product delivery; prepare products for the floor displays and cases; maintains correct department signage and pricing; ensures freshness of products by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products; answers customer questions; assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing.
