GENERAL MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages the operations and financial success of business units. Total responsibility for the efficient and safe work practices of all employees. Provides assistance to key managers/supervisors, and employees. Communicates company policies, procedures, rules and regulations to all employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Communicates goals consistent with the company’s financial and operational objectives.
•Represents and communicates company ethics, environmental, regulatory, safety and accounting policies and standards.
•Effectively communicates company objectives, goals and business plan.
•Ensures and promotes positive morale of our employees.
•Oversees hiring, training and performance of our employees.
•Monitors Budget (P&Ls, cash flow, Accounts Receivable, etc).
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
•High school diploma or general education degree required
•Minimum of five years management and job-related experience including experience in sales, operations, and/or maintenance functions.
•Strong written and oral skills.
•Excellent communicator with great people skills.
•Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business documents, professional journals, customers and vendors.
•Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills.
Preferred:
•Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management or related field.
•Prior experience in the transportation industry desired.
