Employee Benefits Representative

Lockheed Martin has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR/Employee Benefits professional to help execute the organizational objectives of Lockheed Martin’s newly formed Health & Wellness Services organization in the areas of medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts. In this position the Employee Benefits Representative will maintain plans and programs to accomplish the goals identified by the Health and Wellness Strategy team. The selected individual will review and analyze vendor performance using the full spectrum of measurement tools including data reports, audits and program review.


Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

Act as primary point of contact for selected suppliers. Identify root cause of complex problems, develop and implement solutions using established precedents and policies. Maintain oversight to closure of the issue. Resolve operational problems that arise between external suppliers, internal resources and plan participants. Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders at all levels to ensure suppliers are cognizant of and responsive to LMCs approach to employee health. Responsible for monitoring and tracking various aspects of supplier performance and contractual obligations. Research, identify and procure resources/assets to support the Health and Wellness initiatives. Interface with prospective suppliers analyzing supplier proposal and providing input to supplier selection. Monitor plan/program performance. Provide technical support, expertise and recommendations to policy decision makers. Responsible to ensure that suppliers are aware of changes to plans/programs. Monitors supplier compliance with plan change directives. Execute programs within specific schedule parameters. Collect, assess and report on plan/program participation and cost data as required. Prepare and conduct briefings and reports for internal and external representatives. Responsible for coordinating own schedule and activities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of health and welfare employee benefit plans and programs, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and related benefits. Working knowledge of health related employee benefit plans, including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and related benefits. Experienced understanding of the benefits procurement process. Knowledge of supplier contracts, including but not limited to services, pricing, performance standards, auditing requirements and reporting requirements. Working knowledge of health-related benefits regulations. Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures. Ability to thrive in a changing environment and deal with ambiguity. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to work as part of a team while being able to take full responsibility for a task. Ability to manage multiple, complex tasks effectively. Ability to make decisions and operate with minimal oversight with respect to complex issues and business requirements with a moderate degree of exposure.
REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree
• Previous experience in employee benefits, preferably in a large employer environment.
• Prior vendor account management preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with computer systems and functions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.

• Contract negotiation experience
• Experience with vendor account management
• Experience with the procurement process
