Participates in the development of Comcast and HR objectives, personnel philosophy, and strategic planning in relation to personnel programs and trends in human resources management. Act in an advisory capacity on all Human Resource issues which arise within the Area. Administer Human Resources policies and procedures as they pertain to all employees within the area.Provide support and direction to Human Resource Administrative staff in regard to H.R. Policies, EEO, wage & salary management, benefits, safety, training, labor relations, compensation etc ensuring and programs are administered per Region guidelines and ensure proper reporting is completed to Regional Office.Formulates, in collaboration with senior management, area personnel policies. Educates and informs managers and supervisors of personnel policies and procedures.Monitor and administer compensation plans to include: job analysis, job evaluation, and performance management to ensure compliance with region guidelines.Counsels management and employees on disciplinary actions and performance problems. Provide support, direction and coaching as required for training and development programs.Oversees government legal and regulatory requirements and/or complaints.Develops, implements and coordinates policies and procedures for Human Resources department to establish and maintain an effective department through managing, advising, and motivating department employees.Ensures an efficient recruitment/ interviewing function to maintain adequate staffing at all levels ensuring fair and consistent recruitment; oversees career development and career path for all employees.Develops and approves an annual budget for the department, monitors for variances, and manages related expenses within established guidelinesDirects training staff ensuring that all required training programs are completed and documented.Administer and support proactive employee relations programs and support an open door policy.Practices and compliance with EEO requirements.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, (Master's preferred) in Human Resource Management or the recognized equivalent in work experience or a combination of work experience and education.Minimum of 7-10 years experience as a Human Resource Generalist in a service-related field; with a minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory/management of HR programs and staff.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding employment and OSHA.
Knowledge of wage and hours laws.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straight-forward manner.
Ability to work under pressure with deadlines and changing priorities.
Proficiency in personal computers and software applications.
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead.
Topnotch interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Analytical, decision-making and ability to plan, organize and prioritize effectively
Ability to work effectively as member of a team; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple functions and job levels.
Results- and people-oriented with sound judgment and ability to balance business considerations.
