Director, Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development

Dow Lohnes, a DC based law firm with over 140 lawyers in two offices, is currently seeking a Director, Attorney Recruitment and Professional Development for their Washington, DC office.
REQUIREMENTS
The Director is responsible for the oversight and implementation of all associate educational, development, orientation, evaluation and integration programs within the firm including in-house and CLE, the open rotation program, Mentor/Advisor program, retention/outplacement, diversity initiatives and work/life balance issues. The Director works in support of the Chair, Professional Development Committee (PDC) on firmwide associate initiatives. In addition, the Director works with the Hiring Committee to strategically guide and oversee the legal recruiting programs, including the summer associate program, recruitment of lateral attorneys, on-campus recruiting and the orientation of entry-level attorneys and laterals. Serves as a director on the Executive Director management team.The candidate must have a bachelor's degree and at least five years experience in managing and overseeing professional development and attorney recruiting programs in medium to large law firms.
