DB Data Conversion Manager

The Defined Benefit Data Conversion Manager (DCM) is responsible for the data requirements definition process as well as a majority of the day to day managerial responsibilities during a data implementation lifecycle. The Data Conversion Manager is the primary contact on the Conversion Dedicated Assistance Team (CDAT) for both the client and the internal Hewitt client team. The DCM is accountable for meeting the overall Cost, Delivery, and Quality measures as defined in the client conversion process.The Data Conversion Manager's responsibilities around requirements definition include:
-Leading all client related data requirements meetings;
-Define and develop the data requirements and data inventory;
-Provide the communication link between client team and Conversion Dedicated Assistance Team (CDAT) for all requirements and system changes;
-Work in conjunction with client team Requirements Consultant to consult with client on all aspects of data requirements such as potential provisional changes, auto-correction rules, data project scope and fees;
-Dissemination of all plan provisional and client knowledge to the CDAT;
-Review scope and fees at every break point in data conversion process for potential updates to communicate to the client;
-Set expectations with the Conversion Tech Support Team for any enhancements or custom modifications necessary for the base tool in order to support the implementation.Other implementation responsibilities include:
-Manage the overall data conversion process;
-Work with client team managers to develop a realistic data conversion work plan and milestones, to coincide with the overall implementation development work plan;
-Establish realistic measures of success for the CDAT implementation;
-Manage the data conversion budget and time recording throughout the implementation, and communicate with CDAT and client team;
-Escalate concerns from the Data Analysts in regards to data cleanup activities;
-Define the preparation of transitional training for the ongoing client team;
-Review of all client material prepared by CDAT (i.e. profiling and edit reports);
-Review of all quality assurance efforts including methodology and client data scenarios;
-Successful transition of CDAT responsibilities to other CDAT team members, once implementation life cycle is nearing completion.
REQUIREMENTS
Preferred Years of Experience:
-3+ years experience in TBA Client Delivery. Serving as Data Manager on at least two TBA client implementations.
-Strong working knowledge of TBA 3.x and 4.x data models and the tables used most commonly for DB.
-Strong understanding of DB plan provisions and how data relates to those provisions.
-Demonstrated strong management skills including project planning, client interfacing, financial management.
