Corporate Benefits Manager
This position will have overall responsibility for FSA’s self-insured benefits programs serving over 3,500 individuals in a multi-state environment. As part of the corporate staff of Food Services of America, this individual will interact with senior-level leadership and staff at operating locations in the furtherance of wellness initiatives and ERISA qualified self-insured benefits program administration. The position will also provide technical support for several subsidiaries of the parent company (SGA) with a variety of insured and self-insured ERISA benefit programs. Other responsibilities will include:
•Manage full compliance with all ERISA-mandated regulations regarding preparation of SPDs and governmental reporting.
•Maintain and monitor broker performance on benefits’ program design and performance metrics.
•Oversee activities of Milliman USA for matching 401k/Profit Sharing plan administration and Russell for funds’ performance.
•Advocate for Consumer-driven health care within all SGA-affiliated companies to foster lower health care use and “bend” the cost increase spiral for all program offerings.
•Work with McCabe’s Quality Foods and S & P subsidiary management to create cost controls and wellness initiatives for their health benefit programs. Track and report trends to local and corporate management.
•Refine quarterly reporting to the Trustees on Health Care performance and retirement plan.
•Provide support to annual audit for all plans and timely-management oversight of annual ERISA testing to ensure passing of all testing requirements without incurring penalties or having to make refunds to the highly-compensated.
•Develop programs which increase retirement plan participation to increase overall savings rates for all SGA-affiliated programs’ participants.
•Develop a performance “dash-board” for management on the metrics involved in all plans under supervision of the Benefits’ Department.
•Coordinate analytical support personnel with Associate Services manager responsible for assessing Worker’s Compensation performance across all SGA-affiliated entities.
•Provide consulting support to senior leadership on matters related to benefit programs which will support and advance the business objectives of the company.
•Manage all aspects of COBRA program for all SGA subsidiaries.
•Review and evaluate investment performance of S & P investment and trustee performance, annually. Report to SGA Trustees Quarterly on performance of plan and initiatives to increase participation levels.
REQUIREMENTS
MUSTS:
?5-7 years benefits management experience in a multi-state, corporate environment with 125 flexible benefits’ management experience required
?Extensive communications experience required; with populations possessing varying levels of sophistication using total-compensation thinking
?FSA, HRA, HSA program design, implementation, monitoring, and administration experience required; 125 plan management
?Demonstrated technical proficiency in MS Office environment with special emphasis on Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, and Showcase reporting systems
?Proven experience in Data Base management and analytics
?Knowledge and experience in broker relations, plan administration, contract interpretation, and fiscal reporting
?Hands-on working knowledge of benefits’ administration software supporting payroll system function.
?401k program design and administration including funds’ performance reporting, trustee, and custodial contractor management
?Management of annual total compensation reporting program
?Presentation experience, customer service, and development of financial educational program requirements under Section 404c for Defined Contribution Programs
?Matching-401k and profit-sharing plan program administration
?Management responsibility for two staff positions
?Leave management administration experience under FMLA, State-mandated programs, FLSA, ADA, and EEO regulations
?Must have experience working under tight time requirements and multi-tasked
?Excellent oral and written communications skills
PREFERRED:
?HRIS experience a plus.
?BS Business/Human Resources, MBA preferred or comparable experience. SPHR or PHR preferred.
?CEBS Certification a Plus
?Familiarity with MS Office environment including Word, Power Point, Excel, Access , Show Case Data Base administration and Infinium payroll preferred
