The Compensation and Benefits Analyst will provide day-to-day analytical support to the Compensation & Benefits department out of our office space in Bannockburn, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handles day-to-day benefit related issues, via phone call and email, for entire organization. This includes, but is not limited to: maintenance and coordination of new hire packets and presentations, employee benefit eligibility, system questions/problems between Stericycle and select vendors, etc
Prepares and distributes various Benefit related communications on a regular basis
Maintains, tracks, and monitors Compensation & Benefits invoices and billing.
Contacts vendors to resolve any and all outstanding questions
Coordinates the Annual Open Enrollment Process for Benefits
Assists in creating and maintaining all Benefit related SPD’s (Summary Plan Descriptions)
Coordinates the Benefit Review (appeal) process
Coordinates 401(k) quarterly informational meetings and communications
Coordinates semi-annual ESPP communications and distribution of materials.
Assists in Benefits Plan Design, RFPs (Request for Proposals), and renewals with multiple Benefit vendors
Creates/updates job descriptions submitted by Managers/Supervisors for newly created or changed positions. Maintains job documentation library ensuring the most up-to-date documentation is held in active file. Ensures obsolete job descriptions are filed for historical purposes.
Participates in annual salary surveys. Initial analysis of survey data once received.
Conducts initial job evaluation analysis (via market pricing and internal comparisons) for newly created or updated positions.
Evaluates geographic market information on an annual basis. Makes preliminary recommendations on adjustments to salary ranges, as supported by the market.
Assists in the maintenance of the Annual Management Incentive Plan and the Annual Incentive Stock Option Plan. Coordinates and follows up on the collection of Incentive goals on an annual basis
Assists in the analysis of employee relocation recommendations
Assists in the analysis and maintenance of inpat/expat solutions
Performs other related Compensation & Benefits related projects as required or requestedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education equivalent to Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business, or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating good knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, HIPPA and FLSA Regulations.
Two or more years of Human Resource experience, with emphasis in Compensation and/or Benefits, demonstrating general knowledge of HRIS Systems.
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerpointBENEFITS:
