We are currently seeking a Compensation Analyst who has the drive and capabilities to successfully assist in the development and administration of employee compensation programs for CompUSA field and corporate team members. This position, under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, will perform professional assignments requiring use and application of compensation concepts, practices, and techniques.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Administration of variable incentive pay plans
Assisting in the development and administration of compensation guidelines.
Developing draft job descriptions in specialized format from Job Analysis Questionnaires or personal interviews.
Participating in salary surveys and analyzing results to determine company’s relationship to the market.
Polling companies in the market to ascertain salary levels for difficult to match positions.
Reviewing proposals for new or revised jobs to determine appropriate salary grade.
Advising management on performance review schedules and monitoring schedule compliance.
Reviewing proposed salary actions to ensure conformance with established guidelines and policies.
Developing and implementing recommendations to adjust salary structures, merit increase plans, and promotional budgets.Job Requirements
A successful candidate will need:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or closely related field and 1-2 years experience in compensation analysis and administration or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
Intermediate to Advanced level user with Microsoft Office.
Experience with Compensation systems a plus.
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and requirements as they relate to the field of compensation.
Analytical and statistical skills to evaluate, prioritize, and categorize data in various formats for reports and presentations.
Superior communication skills both verbal and written
Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to get along with diverse personalities and all level within the organization.
High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Ability to prioritize activities and projects and work with limited supervision.
