Comm Tech Writer Entry

The Technical Writer Entry will provide technical writing support for SPDs, RFP responses, daily HRO, and general communication projects. This role will also work as part of a team to leverage technical expertise and functional knowledge in order to support innovative and effective communication solutions.

Responsibilities:
Serve Our Clients
With supervision, write and edit copy with supervision to be utilized in brochures, newsletters, SPDs, RFPs, and/or electronic communications.
Assist in the development of communication-related materials for sales meetings, including PowerPoint presentations, designs and content for sample communication materials, visuals, handouts, etc.
Interact with client to discuss content, timeline, and schedule updates as related to individual writing projects.
Maintain and apply knowledge of existing and emerging regulations.
Manage individual component of client project.
Analyze all related documents, decode/synthesize data, and develop information into client's communication style.
Understand and utilize best practices for writing, print, and electronic media.
Research and verify content accuracy as needed.

Enhance Associate Engagement
Engage in team collaboration to leverage your contribution across projects.
Support client team members as needed to develop strategies and plans.
Work with other communication team members on production of the final product.
Take responsibility for your own engagement by working closely with your people manager, asking questions, and raising issues.

Strengthen Our Business
Understand and seek to stay within budget for individual components of client projects.
Generate revenue by meeting billable targets and project deadlines.
Participate actively in profitable delivery of client projects.
Seek and grow knowledge of Hewitt and LOB design and delivery businesses.
Continue to grow professional skills and apply those skills with excellence in client situations.
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree in related disciplines, Journalism, English, Technical Writing, Communication, or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience with written business communications.
Demonstrated success in writing communication materials for a variety of audiences.
Knowledge of HR/Benefits is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic communication channels.
Ability to work with and interpret different source materials.
Ability to distinguish and adapt writing to different media.
Ability to learn and utilize new technologies.
Ability to work with software, such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to demonstrate knowledge of proofreading/writing skills: editing, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
