COORDINATOR, COBRA/HIPAA

Responsibilities:The Coordinator, COBRA/HIPAA is responsible for all aspects of preparing and generating the required COBRA general notices and COBRA election notices; maintains accurate and current logs of same. Provides Certificate of Group Health Plan Coverage in compliance with the Health Insurance Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Enrolls COBRA participants in the plans elected and cancels any coverage as required. Receives and processes all COBRA payments. Assists COBRA participants with claim issues and by serving as the CCA contact person. Updates company policies relative to COBRA compliance, as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications :High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. Two or more years experience in employee benefits preferred. Knowledge of J.D. Edwards and Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel is preferred. Must possess strong customer service skills.
