Benefits Manager

Provide management for Employee Benefits administration functions of pathology laboratory group. Position reports to Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities include:

•Manage employee benefits programs for organization.
•Provide human resource expertise and support to management and staff.
•Plan and conduct employee training designed to educate employees and management members about effective utilization of benefits.
•Work with HR Director and VP Finance in contract negotiation for insurance coverage and pension plan administration, evaluation and recommendation of new benefits, changes to existing plans and benefit plans administration.
•Assist HR Director in delivery of successful personnel programs, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, position classification and placement of employees, and related policy development and administration.
•Assist with accident and incident investigations; perform appropriate reporting to members of management team, counsel and insurance carriers.
•Conduct benefit surveys within laboratory, healthcare and biotech markets to determine competitive benefit offerings.
•Work with HR Director to effectively execute budget of personnel operations.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our team and service oriented environment is an integral part of our culture and our success. Must provide professional and effective support of operations and staff by working closely with management and employees to maintain open communication, efficient operations, and effective employee/management relationships.

Qualified candidates possess 5 or more years of progressive, effective benefits and human resources management experience and proficient computer skills which includes Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

This is a fulltime exempt salaried position requiring at least 40 work hours per week during our normal business hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Additionally, this position requires some travel (up to 10%). Business casual dress is required.
