JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are a New York City based mid-size law firm with a very busy labor and employment law practice seeking an attorney with 2-3 years experience. The ideal candidate will have a background representing management in all phases of labor and employment law in venues including Federal, State and City courts, fair employment practices agencies, and the National Labor Relations Board.
We require previous experience in negotiating and drafting employment agreements, policies, handbooks, and counseling employers in maintaining compliance with Federal, State and City labor law - including federal, state and city anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws and regulations, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, Wage and Hour law, the National Labor Relations Act, OSHA, ERISA, Immigration and Naturalization law, Worker’s Compensation, and Unemployment Regulations. Experience in employment litigation and dispute resolution, including grievance and arbitration proceedings and mediation, is preferred.
