Application Technology Services Manager
Specific Accountabilities
Help associates create and maintain performance plans, including development and review of goals aligned with objectives of the firm, practice, cluster, and unit.
Provide associates with coaching and feedback throughout the year encompassing all aspects of performance: technical skills, behaviors, as well as goals and objectives.
Manage associate compensation and recognition based on individual performance, contribution, growth, firm guidelines, and market factors.
Help associates with career management. Facilitate associate growth in order to maximize their value to the firm.
Provide orientation and day to day direction to associates within the unit. Help associates understand and meet the expectations of their role.
Act as a role model and positive influence for associates in support of firm, practice, unit, and customer missions, objectives, goals, and values.
Ensure team compliance with standards, procedures, and controls in a Sarbanes-Oxley influenced
environment.
Responsible for the creation of budgets related to headcount and consulting dollars, the preparation of ongoing forecasts, and the adherence to budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for staffing, resource planning, and recruiting. Project and define staffing needs including quantity and skill levels.
Provide customer-focused, timely, and high quality delivery to users and facilitate communication across functional areas and development teams to ensure alignment.
Proactively build and foster relationships with business areas. Understand business processes and address functional business partners areas of concern. Keep functional leaders informed of initiatives going on in IS that impact the functional areas being served.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent
3 or more years of leadership experience in application development (e.g. people management, project management, recognized business/application expertise)
8 or more years experience working with a variety of technology and business disciplines (e.g. applications development, data warehousing, business side management related to technical applications)
Recognized expertise in one or more business areas and/or technology disciplines
Demonstrated ability to translate/communicate complex concepts to peers and business partners
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment with short deadlines, interruptions, varying levels of stress, and multiple tasks/projects occurring at once
Demonstrated ability to leverage and motivate others through coaching, mentoring, and people management
