The City of Henderson is now seeking an Analyst I in the Human Resources department.
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. or Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Must be available and willing to work either assigned work schedule.
Job Description: Under general supervision, performs professional human resources work in one or more divisions of the Human Resources Department; and performs related duties as assigned. This position will be assigned to the Employment and Compensation Division.
Selection Process: The selection process will consist of an employment application and supplemental questionnaire screening for minimum qualifications and an oral review board. It is the responsibility of candidates with a disability requiring accommodation in the testing process to contact the Human Resources Department to request such accommodation prior to the closing date for this recruitment. Appointment is subject to successful completion of background investigation, and City-paid, pre-employment, post-offer physical examination, including drug test.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Personnel Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, Organizational Development or closely related field
Three (3) years of professional full-time experience in a centralized human resources department; OR an equivalent combination of closely related education, training, and work experience.
The best candidate will have a broad understanding of public sector human resources experience supporting recruitment, selection, classification, and compensation functions.
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence at the time of application and maintain an excellent driving record.
Desirable Qualifications:
Certification by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or International Personnel Management Association (IPMA) certification.
