Job Summary –
The position assists in the administration of various employee
benefit plans, such as life, health, dental, vision, disability
insurance, retirement plans, and paid-time-off.
General Functions –
Responsible for new hire orientation, encompassing benefits.
Coordinates benefit changes and reviews claims.
In partnership with others, identifying benefits
communications needs, developing strategies and evaluating media to
meet those needs.
Assists in preparing materials, communications and in
presenting benefit plan changes and updates to employees.
Maintains employee benefit files, related correspondence and
ensures compliance with policies and practices.
Ensuring the consistent execution of our internal policies
and procedures including documentation, revisions and online tools.
Coordinates the annual enrollment process for US and PR
benefits.
Continuous improvement of Benefits workflow process to align
with business objectives.
Support the periodic expense analysis required by FAS 87,
106 and 112.
Data collection and analysis for FAS 112 and 106.
Provides monthly reconciliations of benefit plans and
coordinates with Finance Department.
Communicates features of programs and options to employees.
Knowledge of employee benefits regulations and laws
including COBRA, HIPPA and ERISA.
Provides vendor appropriate documentation for benefit plans.
Assists with communicating and promoting the policies and
programs to all levels of employees and management.
Handles employee requests and complaints.
Assists in maintaining and operating the benefits
information system (Ceridian).
Develops and implements special projects as assigned.
Other general administrative functions.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs) –
§ Maintain the confidentiality, sensitivity and security of
information.

Education Requirements – Minimum of 3 years of H/R or Benefits
Administration experience. Bachelor's degree, concentration in
business or finance preferred.
Skill Requirements – Candidate will possess strong organizing and
analytical skills; strong customer-service orientation, and excellent
verbal and written communication. Possesses thorough knowledge of
computer applications including MS Office and Windows operating
systems with strong emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and
Outlook. Also, thorough knowledge of business English (including
spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary).
Travel Requirements – 5%, as required.
