Systems Support Tech

Provide technical assistance, support, and advice to users around the clock. Analyze problems, recommend and implement solutions. Provide technical support for hardware, software, and systems. Answer telephone calls and resolve difficulties. Install, modify, clean, and repair computer hardware and software. Oversee the daily performance of the company’s computer systems and evaluate software programs for usefulness. Perform all system procedures and maintenance to facilitate continued and efficient use of system resources. Maintain an inventory and accountability for all IT components (e.g.pc’s, laptops, software, printers, modems, etc.). Insure backups are complete, error-free and that tape rotation complies with policy. Lead and/or assist with technology projects. Requires initiative to identify areas of opportunity, ability to analyze and assess possible solutions, to support the selection and implementation of projects, and to methodically complete task or project. Assist other IT team member when workload warrants. Ability to observe and identify other areas within the IT department that require assistance on projects, and must have the desire and ability to proactively assist other team members.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. IBM AS-400 experience preferred. A+ Certification. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Troubleshooting pc/network issues. Strong customer service. Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments. Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow all policies and procedures including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies. Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
