Job Description:
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Support the functional and technical design and analysis of business requirements and develop software and application programs to enhance MLT Inc.'s financial information systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop program specifications for new development, which meet customer requirements. Generate structured program code, which can be used as a model for other team members.
Analyze existing software and software applications and design, code and test functionality enhancements.
Support development efforts through offering programming efficiency suggestions and coordinating the creation of unit and system test plans.
Maintain methods to ensure the integrity and availability of various environments for coding, programming, testing and production usage.
Help customers identify system requirements through asking questions from a systemic viewpoint. Provide alternative automation solutions, as needed.
Create and code programs, as needed, based on requirement definitions, complying with department standards and formulated project timelines.
Provide support to users experiencing system related issues and questions.
Generate and distribute reports pertaining to assigned responsibilities.
Research industry trends and advancements and make recommendations to enhance MLT Inc.’s technology.
Regularly evaluate processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency.
Comply with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations.
Attend and participate in meetings that pertain to assigned responsibilities.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include cross-utilization within the department or with other departments.
OCCASIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide support outside normal business hours.

Job Requirements: EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from four year college or university; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of four years of applications development experience required.
Knowledge of the PC including MS Word and Excel required.
Three years of experience with PeopleSoft Financials is required (GL, AP, AR, PO, Billing and Cash Management).
Three years of experience with the following development languages/tools is required (Cobol, SQL, PeopleTools, SQR, PeopleCode, App Engine).
Experience utilizing the following platforms is preferred (UNIX, Linux, DEC-VMS).
Experience with relational databases required (eg, Oracle, DB2, Informix).
Knowledge of Related experience in the Travel, Tour, or Hospitality industries preferred.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to prioritize and successfully work on multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously.
Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management, staff and customers as well as demonstrate sound judgement/reasoning skills.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Possess good organizational skills.
